Lead time for shipping

varies, depending on quantity ordered and the species of wood. In general, lead times are about 4 - 6 weeks from the day we receive payment to the day we ship your flooring. Please allow additional time for correct acclimation of your flooring. Let us know if you have more stringent time deadlines and we’ll try to accommodate your needs! Common carrier price quotes are good for 30 days.

 

Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to initiate all orders. Due to the custom processing of all orders, the deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited to cover manufacturing costs and raw material purchases relative to the cancellation of an order. If you change your mind about the species of wood, widths, etc., the deposit can be used toward another floor of your choice within 30 days of the change.

 

Payment Methods

Personal, company, certified checks and direct deposit are preferred; MasterCard and VISA are also accepted with a 3% processing fee.

 

Shipping

We will ship all orders either common carrier or via Lost Lodge Timber direct to the job site. We have shipping discounts with a common carrier via contract that we pass on to you. Shipping charges do not usually increase in proportion to your order; the larger your order is, the square foot cost of shipping should decrease. Shipping quotes are good for 30 days. Your flooring is packaged to protect it throughout shipping (all orders are 100% insured through shipping). You will be called in advance to set up a delivery time by the common carrier or Lost Lodge

Timber.

 

At delivery you will need a crew to un-load your flooring, please have a place ready where the shipper can have direct access. Shippers generally will allow 15 minutes for unloading so please take that in to consideration when having a crew available to unload. We suggest two workers for up to 1000 ft of flooring and then one extra worker for every 1000 feet thereafter.

Nails and Waterlox Finish

We will ship your Antique Cut Nails, Wooden Nails, and/or Waterlox finish with your flooring order as long as you order them before we ship. There is no extra charge for shipping these items with your floor. We can also have your Waterlox dropped shipped to you direct from Waterlox.

 

Installation & Finishing

You will receive detailed installation and finishing instructions when you place the order with us. When you receive your flooring, it is essential that you store it properly allowing sufficient time for climate acclimation of your flooring.

 

Limited Lifetime Quality Assurance

We stand behind our floors 100%. If at any time during the life of your floor there is a problem caused by the quality of our wood or our manufacturing process, we will craft a new floor for your home at no charge.
